WE RESONATE AND DRIVE RESULTS

BY SPEAKING REDDIT'S LANGUAGE

What works on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok or even Google is not what works on Reddit.

  • Reddit is its own unique ecosystem with varying community rules and a unique etiquette formed over its 20-year existence.
  • Most social agencies treat Reddit as an afterthought. But we speak to Redditors in our ads because we are Redditors – and have been for many years.
  • All of our team are Reddit Ads Certified, we work with the platform every day and have a deep understanding of what works.

HOW OUR REDDIT AD CAMPAIGNS WORK

Our ad campaigns follow a refined structure to help maximize the growth opportunity from Reddit.

ONE

DISCOVERY

We start by understanding your campaign aims and business. What makes your brand special? What are your USP's?  Who is your target customer? And where do they like to hang out on Reddit?

TWO

STRATEGY

We use this to define your target persona and our means of reaching them on Reddit. This includes advanced sub-Reddit research, ad types that’ll be most effective and a defined value proposition.

THREE

CREATIVES

We then develop ad creatives and copy using hooks to help you stand out to your target audience. We might lean on our UGC community to brief, shoot and produce videos and imagery that will resonate.

FOUR

EXECUTION

We build out your ad campaigns on Reddit’s ad platform; set up targeting options, budget strategies, pixel tracking and squeeze pages.

FIVE

OPTIMIZATION

With ongoing campaigns we will make regular account optimizations, run A/B testing and refresh creatives when they become stale.

SIX

REPORTING

We report back regularly on the KPI’s set out in the discovery phase. We use data to inform our approach and adapt our campaign activities.

STILL HAVE QUESTIONS?

GLAD YOU ASKED...

The effectiveness of ads on Reddit typically depends on the advertiser type and their aims.

For reach and brand awareness Reddit ads are second to none, given their lower cost to relative platforms.

But while the average cost-per-click on Reddit is much lower than competing platforms like Facebook, targeting isn’t yet as mature.

And some brands simply aren’t a good match for the audiences you find on Reddit.

However, those that do manage to crack Reddit ads can take advantage of significantly lower ad costs than other platforms – and incredible reach.

For this reason we tend to advise most advertisers to at least give them a try, provided the audiences on Reddit are a good fit.

Reddit does have some NSFW content on its platform.

However, they have introduced rigorous brand safety solutions to ensure your ads won’t show on these categories of content (unless you want them to).

Specifically, when setting up your ad account we always restrict ad inventory to ‘Standard’.

In other words, you can reach audiences at scale without ads being shown on inappropriate posts with sensitive elements such as profanity or sexual content.

Sensitive advertisers needing even further protection can even utilize ‘Limited’ inventory, with IAS Brand Safety filtering, which uses AI-driven image and text signals to provide accurate content classification.

Get in touch to arrange an exploratory call with one of our team.

We will first assess whether we think Reddit ads are the right fit for your business and objectives.

From there we will present back the opportunity size and options available to help you maximize growth on Reddit.

Reddit ads need a minimum of 3 months to allow time for strategy, set-up, creatives and testing.

Few campaigns perform well in the early stages. We have to follow a continuous loop of launching, testing, learning and implementation to get to a place where the return on ad spend becomes profitable.

So we build a 3-month set-up into our contracts to give us time to get your campaign firing on all cylinders.

After the initial term we will generally move to a monthly retainer with a 30-day notice period.

We will always provide comprehensive reporting, customised to showcase the important metrics that help us to meet your campaign goals.
